    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Orgo is a fascinating class if you pay attention and understand. It's required for most science majors so there's a slim chance of getting out of it.

    Course highlights:

This course began with the basic nomenclature of organic compounds, beginning with the very basic and simple molecules. As the class gets into the swing of things the nomenclature will begin to become more challenging and complex. Naming of alkanes, alkenes, alkynes, carboxylic acids, and the introduction of basic reactions are introduced in this course.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention to the lecturer and don't miss class unless it is absolutely necessary! It is very easy to fall behind in this course because of the amount of information and the speed that this class moves at. Have patience when first starting this course because it will be frustrating but use all of the resources that your professor gives you because 99% of the time they will help you out in a great way. Also, don't wait until 2 days before your test to study, don't even wait 4 days before your test to study. Chances are that you are going to have a lot of material on each test and it is almost impossible to cram study all of that information into your head. This is material that you need constantly study and practice. Practice is key too! If re-reading chapters is how you study then you may have some difficulty here... Get your pencil to the paper and practice drawing structure and reactions it helps you understand the material more and the information will stay with you longer! Best of luck!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

You must pay attention in lecture. Everything that you will ever need to know is right there in front of you. Don't talk to your neighbors or text. Be completely in that moment and you will excel past everyone.

    Course highlights:

I learned time management and higher level of difficulty that I did not believe I could understand. I found myself asking questions all the time and getting higher test scores in the process. Trust yourself but don't miss up an opportunity to ask if you are not sure.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. A majority of this class is taking a little bit of information and chewing on it until you are able to comprehend it and start chewing on the next bit of information.

If you're someone who loves chemistry and molecular chemistry, than this challenging course is for you.

    Course highlights:

I've learned how molecules react and work at the tiniest spectrum, very fascinating to think about. Each of these molecules has their purpose within the human body.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. This is not material you can just see in one day and learn automatically. You definitely need to put the time in to understand what is going on in the course.
