Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Xie is a smart person who knows her material. She will answer your questions and her exams are very reasonable (compared to professor Kelley's exams, so I hear). However, because of this, there is no curve on her exams, and you will have to put in the work to get the grade you want.

    Course highlights:

I loved the structure of the class. You watch videos on the material at your own pace, and come into class with questions and for practice problems. I definitely was able to better manage my time because of this class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Watch the videos, take excellent notes, go to office hours and supplemental instruction to get as much exposure to the material and as much practice as you can. When applicable, make flashcards... try to hear the material in as many ways as you can.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is tough but manageable with hard work. Study with the mantra: "Every subject, every day." This is not a class where procrastination works since there is meticulous memorization. If you study a little bit every day and review constantly, you will receive a good mark! Especially since the curve at the end is great!

    Course highlights:

This class is full of memorizing structures that you will soon forget. But you do not realize how much you learned until the next year in Biochemistry where many of the concepts are reintroduced and then built upon.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

This subject is meant to be a sort of weed out course to discourage slackers. Do not get discouraged though because with hard work it is very manageable. Best advice: do the best you can now in order to build your GPA up for when the toughest year (4th year) hits!!!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is one of the difficult classes that second years have to take. Even though the class itself is challenging, I believe it is still one of the fundamental classes that a student in the health profession field needs to take.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course is that you really do learn the fundamentals of organic chemistry. Students also learn to collaboratively learn, because this class really does require a lot of outside studying and learning on your own. So by utilizing one another, this course become a lot less challenging.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

I would advise students to make sure to go to tutor sessions for this class because they really do help. The advisors will give out practice tests that they go over during the sessions. These practice tests are similar to the test itself, so it'll definitely‚Äč give you an advantage.
