Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course tends to waste valuable studying time for those of us who have boards exams to take. While it's meant to prepare you, everyone has totally different needs at this point in the game and generally wastes your time unless your'e the one who just asked the very specific question being answered.

    Course highlights:

The good aspect of this course is that you have an opportunity to get some in depth questions answered as you prepare to take boards. However, this is perhaps even more easily done in office hours. This course can provide a pretty good review, especially when it comes to seeing images of artifacts and determining the cause.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Come to class prepared with lots of questions, because that will make this more worth the time spent. If you haven't started studying, the class hours are basically a waste. But as long as you start studying before coming to class, it does provide an open forum for discussion of topics that need review.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

In this program you are required to take this course. It is very challenging and Professor Miller continues to make you think even after you've learned everything. She's a really good professor, I enjoy her teaching styles.

    Course highlights:

We learned the physics of the ultrasound machine and it really puts everything into perspective. It makes you understand why everything works the way it does inside the machine and what your job is to do with the machine.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with studying and reading the book. There are weekly quizzes that aren't worth a lot but in the end it helps to do well on them and the weekly studying for them pays off!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is required for DMS students. But it is a very good course, because it reviews all the material needed for the board exam. It also allows for you to review material that you struggle with in preparation for the exam.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to prepare myself for the exam by taking many practice tests.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend that you keep reviewing notes. The quicker you take your board the more free time you have. But do not take the exam if you do not feel prepared, because you need to pass the exam to continue in the course.
