    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

He's very nit-picky and wording is tricky on exams. Some students just focus on the textbook and practice problems to do well without attending classes (except for exam days.)

    Course highlights:

Logical reasoning was a good take-away from the course. The basics of chemistry was also covered in a slightly different perspective from that of high school chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a little each day so it's less stressful come exam week. His chapters aren't that long to cover each day. Just make it a habit and it wont be difficult.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It wasn't a bad course, chemistry can be interesting. The professor is a fair professor, and a generous grader. However, im not sure that i would recommend this course simply because the instructor has a specific way of teaching that came be perceived as confusing.

    Course highlights:

If you understand his teaching, it's a good course. It's just basic chemistry, but it can be interesting. Difficult, but the sense of accomplishment you feel after completing this difficult class was a highlight for me.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the practice problems in the back of every chapter, they really do help. I was lost in the class until i began doing them.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The experience in this class weren't great, but this is a class where you are required to take to move on to the 2nd year. The professor tends to use a lot of metaphors to explain his understanding for chemistry, resulting in many confusion among students. I suggest reading the chemistry book in your own time and try to absorb as much as possible.

    Course highlights:

As I have mention before, the professor used many metaphorical description to explain chemistry. If you are able to understand his explanations, you will be able to apply chemistry into many real life situations. This class allowed me to see the world differently.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, study. The textbook in this class is written by the professor himself, so whatever is explained on the lectures are elaborated in the textbook. There are many practice question in the book as well. The key to success in this class would be to read the book, do the questions, and understand the concepts; that does not mean memorizing every key terms but how all the key term relates to each other.
