The race, ethnicity, and gender course helps to prepare social workers to interact with different client populations. Students also learn about obstacles that may occur when working with client systems.
In this course I learned about different cultures, laws, and racial groups. I learned about the struggles, strengths, and weaknesses that individuals from different ethnic groups possess. I learned about gender roles, LGBT population, customs, traditions, and what makes different cultures unique. I also learned about the different values of each race or ethnic group.

Take plenty of notes, pay attention to presentations, and save any documentation for your records. This course is very important for your successful in Social Work Practice.
