Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This is a course for students who really want to improve just about every facet of their writing. Over the course of the semester, students refine their grammar, explore different writing styles, and find their own voice through their writing.

    Course highlights:

This course takes more of a workshop approach. In addition to reading short stories by published authors and critiquing their writing, students also get to create their own original works, which they can elect to present to their classmates, who will offer constructive feedback on the work. This works in a rotating pattern so that everyone gets a chance to share and eventually revise their work, all of which culminates in a final portfolio at the end of the semester

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course is not limited to English majors. Students from any major can enroll to improve their writing, and the work pays off significantly. Just come prepared to read and write, and you will see the transformation in your own writing in just three months.
