SOC 333 is the Sociology of Crime. The course is great because it focuses on real facts, real evidence, and the importance of data on a subject that is not motivated by data and instead was created by moral panic.
The highlights of this course was the fact that the socially constructed ideas of crime that all the students in the room had grown up with, the professor deconstructed with cold hard evidence. this was very useful and comforting because in a time like this, it is comforting to be able to turn back to this data when we are constantly being fed lies by our politicians.
