    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Animal Science – I love being an Animal Science major because I get to work directly with animals in a comfortable environment. Amherst is surrounded by many farms and for my lab sections I get to go to those farms to see how they are managed and what kinds of livestock they have.

    Course highlights:

I find I have less of an advantage than some students, but through hard work, perseverance and spending extra time with knowledgeable professors I manage to keep my grades up and have fun doing it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I have the opportunity to volunteer at these farms to gain experience for my resume. There are also clubs that I can join that focus on the maintenance on a specific animal that I can participate in for credit. Having little prior knowledge of animal management.
