Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I had doubts about the course content being interesting, but this has become my favorite class. It's amazing what babies are capable of, and the professor makes the class enjoyable through videos and humor.

    Course highlights:

I gained an understanding in the development of babies biologically, physically and mentally. We learn the basics very briefly like how the sperm and egg reproduce and the baby is formed. We focus more on mental development though like when they begin to switch from egocentrism to developing a theory of mind, when they can successfully answer conservation experiments, whether nature or nurture is more influential etc.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You dont really need the book for this course because the professor goes over almost everything in depth in class. You need to go to class to understand the slides although he does put them online. Erik Cheries is very helpful and willing to meet your needs if you put in the effort.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Professor Cheries is really knowledgeable and shows an interest in helping every student succeed. There are a lot of videos that explain experiments. Sometimes the lectures can feel a little over-rehearsed, but they are still very informative.

    Course highlights:

Professor Cheries gives a lot of feedback. He gives comments on every homework assignment even though it is a 300 person class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be sure to take notes during class. He posts the slides from lecture but they are a very broad outline of the information. You need to be able to fill in the details.
