Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I enjoyed this course. If you are not into reading and don't have a good memory then I dont recommend this course. It's better but not necessary to have prior Greek Mythology knowledge.

    Course highlights:

Philippides is a very old school professor. He makes very little use of the chalk board, yes, chalk board, besides to write down a difficult name. Other than those names/words, there are no notes, so you have to be attentive to what he is saying. He doesnt use a microphone so sit near the front, although he does walk around as he talks. You go over basic Greek mythology stories and highlights of each era. There is no real map to it I dont think.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You need the book to pass. Read the stories, collaborate because its a lot of reading. We split up the reading and had each person take notes on their section on a group google doc. His exams are 50% essay 50% vocabulary/names. For the latter you are given a list of 12 people/things and chose to pick 10 and write 2-3 sentences about each. Can be easy if you have a good memory. Need to know spelling.
