Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class not only taught me to be a better writer, but also a better speaker, which I highly believe is a key concept to be successful in college.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of this class, was classroom time itself. Being in class I was always smiling and always having a good time. There was only an hour of class, but I would learn so much. I learned about history and current events, I also learned how to write a better essay through use of better vocabulary and sequence of writing.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

What you need to do to succeed is to get involved in the class and enjoy the journey of learning to write better. Take in all the professor has to tell you and enjoy the topics you will research. It is a required class, so mind as well enjoy it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Although this course is a required course I would recommend to any student to take it and get the most out of it. In this course I learned so much about my writing process and different techniques that work best for different people. This class allowed me to find a strategy that worked best for me which is something that was not often touched on in high school.

    Course highlights:

What I gained from this class was the knowledge of my own writing process. I was taught multiple different techniques that allowed me to expand my writing and create clear cohesive papers. I learned a lot about how to go through sources and find information helpful to your argument. I learned how to created a complex arguable thesis and develop complex papers. This class gave me the knowledge to become a confident writer that I had never had before.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Tips for taking this course would be to make sure to always go to class and stay engaged. In this class it is important to pay attention to the discussions happening in order to understand the material and get the most from the course.
