    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Intro to Public Health with Dr. Foco is probably the best class you'll ever take in your undergrad years. She's very thorough in her explanations and will take the time to rephrase things you don't understand. There is 3 exams in this class all are pretty easy if you study and do the homework. If you need additional help she will meet with you and always respond to her emails pretty fast. We have in class assignments so attendance is necessary if you want to get credit for them.

    Course highlights:

This is an introduction class, so you get a basic foundation of what public health is all about. Many people underestimate the work of public health professionals because the work they do can't be seen but let me tell ya, these professionals are the ones that are trying to prevent diseases from spreading and taking preventive measures to reduce the number of cases of chronic diseases. Also, this class offers many extra credit opportunities so there is no way you'll fail.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to go to class!! Attendance is a part of your grade and you don't want to lose unnecessary points for not coming to class. Also, do the extra credit because it bumps your grade from a whole letter grade, which is awesome if you want an A!! Do the pre reading questions because it will help you on the exams and do the readings too.
