Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

An incredibly impactful class. Anyone planning on working with children or starting a family should take the course.

    Course highlights:

Thompson was one of the most influential professors I have ever had. She worked with students to help everyone succeed. The final paper is based off observation hours of children in preschool. It allowed for creativity and intellect.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't put off observation hours until the last week! Take notes during them and find a unique spin for the final paper. Gender and forced gendering is always super interesting!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would totally recommend this course because it is engaging and very informative. The professor clearly knows what she is teaching and her passion for the subject is very contagious. I felt like I learned the most in this class. It is well balanced when it comes to course work and exams; the professor is always available to help.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was definitely the hands on aspect to the course. We went into the field and worked with young children. The professor also brought in her children and we were able to conduct minor experiments with them and run a few tests. I learned more about the brain and how children grow and develop. I was blown away by the similarities of development in children all over the world.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of the readings and learn the material well because you will definitely be tested on everything you have gone over in class.
