    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

The class was pretty easy. If you went to class and did your work, you would get an A. Shriver was very understanding when it came to extensions.

    Course highlights:

You get to go out and work at a field placement. I know people that loved it, and I know people that hated it. It is all up to what you like.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

It is mandatory, so you have to take it. But my advice is to show up and do your work.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Although this course is mandatory for all students at Wheelock, it provides great insight into the development of children in the real world. We studied the entire lifespan, from conception to death, and examine physical, cognitive, and social aspects of development.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this course was being able to go out into the field and work with children of all ages. It allowed me to apply what I was learning in the classroom to a real person in a social setting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The number one thing in this course is to read the supplemental materials. They provided additional material to apply to the fieldwork. I have even kept copies of the material so that I can refer to it in the future.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because you have no choice but to take it but you get some great experiences with while doing it.

    Course highlights:

Being able to travel through Boston and seeing how young children grow so much in just a few months physically, emotionally, and mentally is amazing! It really gives you a different experience

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you go to your field placement site and do your field placement journals!! Yes, it has a huge impact on your grade but it also helps with the everyday assignments of the class and discussions.
