    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone that is interested in electrical engineering, even if they aren't majoring in it. Makarov is one of the best professors at the school. He's like Doc. Brown from back to the future, but with a cool Russian accent. He's very energetic when lecturing which makes it very easy to follow along. He spends a lot of time after class to answer questions, and is super accessible during office hours.

    Course highlights:

I learned all about basic circuits and filtering systems, as well as all of the basic circuit elements, like resistors, transistors, etc. and how they work. It was all very intriguing and the labs are quite fun. We even learned how to use an oscilloscope.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely DEFINITELY do the readings. They will help you so much. Also go to office hours, you will get a lot of help from either the professor, or a slew of motivated TAs.
