    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course for any aspiring engineering majors who are looking for a challenge, but do not also want to overload themselves with too much of a workload.

    Course highlights:

The main highlight of the course were the lectures, as professor Griffith incorporated a lot of humor, practice problems, and even fun activities while balancing such a fast-paced curriculum.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Prepare and pace yourself, but never panic. The course definitely throws a lot of varied and challenging content to learn, but thoroughly doing the online homework assignments and completing practice exams definitely helps you prepare for the exams spread throughout the entirety of the course.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As an engineer at UMD you must take some derivation of this course, however do not take it lightly. It is very difficult in both material and amount of material to grasp. It is doable! Just have to be on it.

    Course highlights:

The instructor, Dr. Griffith really made the class enjoyable for me. Best advice is to take her. She will prepare you. I learned that the choosing of an instructor is very important as it plays into your overall experience with the class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study at every free moment you get with this class. There is so much information that must be retained an in order to do it you must simply sit down and study. Be sure to practice with problems out of the test bank and textbook.
