    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

As an engineer at UMD you must take some derivation of this course, however do not take it lightly. It is very difficult in both material and amount of material to grasp. It is doable! Just have to be on it.

    Course highlights:

The instructor, Dr. Griffith really made the class enjoyable for me. Best advice is to take her. She will prepare you. I learned that the choosing of an instructor is very important as it plays into your overall experience with the class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study at every free moment you get with this class. There is so much information that must be retained an in order to do it you must simply sit down and study. Be sure to practice with problems out of the test bank and textbook.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Though for engineers it's a required course, it's a course that pushes a lot of material into one semester meaning it is very time consuming and shouldn't be taken along a lot of other difficult courses.

    Course highlights:

The difficulty level of the course causes everyone to try to connect with neighbors and friends to fully understand what is going on and to study for the exam making it a friendly environment.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't rely on what is taught in the class and definitely put some time for yourself to study and fully gain a good understanding of the material taught in this class through all the resources the professor gives you the first few days of class.
