Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a very interesting course that requires some hard work, but is definitely worth it. It made me become a lot more independent as well.

    Course highlights:

I learned about ecology and about the origins of life. Those were my favorite topics in the class

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the practice exams. They help a lot on the real exams, and read the textbook.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Nice teacher; very patient. But was super boring and monotone.

The tests were not doable and he reuses old exams.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to GSS so you can have more practice with problems and help from a TA.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This was the course that made me really like biology. We learned about the basics of cell biology and genetics and really looked into some of the cell processes.

    Course highlights:

In this class, we did a lot of interactive activities that really helped me understand cell processes. We used blocks and markers to draw out and demonstrate meiosis and mitosis. Professor Allwell also encouraged us to read the textbook, which helped a lot.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to do the Mastering Biology from the textbook!
