    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would only recommend it if you love chemistry, or if you have to take it. It is a very difficult course that takes a lot of time and energy.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were finally understanding synthesis problems after a few days of not understanding it at all. Also it was interesting to look at Newman projections.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Making sure to pay attention to the reaction sheets that he gives in the beginning of the course is really important. Also writing down synthesis and reaction problems at the beginning of the course will save a lot of time later.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Thee course is very fast paced in a large classroom and basically requires you to have taken that specific instructor's Chemistry courses prior if you have any hope of following his rapid jumps in topic. The topic is difficult and requires your sole focus, a bad choice if you have a full schedule.

    Course highlights:

I learned several compounds vital to human function, and while the instructor is willing to help, they have 800 + students so email is your best bet.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If you have questions, contact the instructor immediately, do not rely on the TA's. It is best if you find people in your class to study with.
