A Few Big Assignments
Great Intro to the Subject
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
I would recommend this course because it provides you with the basics in College Algebra. The instructor was great and was always there to help and to teach anything that we were confused on as a class.
Course highlights:
My highlight was when we learned about Parabolas. Parabolas are one of those commonly occurring shapes in the “real world”—both in nature and in man-made devices. They are everywhere and we do not realize. Some Parabolas are the arc in the Eiffel Tower and when you bounce a ball in an angle.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Be prepared and organized to learn. The course is not hard if you had this course in the class and are just doing it as a refresher. Always do the discussions, they do help in the chapter as well as the homework assigned.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
Course Overview:
This class gave ample amounts of homework in order for you to learn the problems provided. If there was something that you were unclear on, there was an example that would walk you through and help you step by step.
Course highlights:
I learned a lot about different algebraic equations and how you would be able to apply them in different real world situations, based on different situations given. This class was one that I was not looking forward to, but after I got going into the class it was a lot more enjoyable then I thought it would have been.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Put in as much time and energy into the homework assignments as possible. Take notes throughout the class broke down by homework assignment. When taking the exams I was able to reference my notes on how to determine the answer on different problems and apply that to the exams. Always show your work so you know how to get the answer, not just what the answer is.
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
