Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was the best course I took in college. There is so much information that is not taight in public school that its mind blowing. I really enjoyed learnig about the middle passage and all of the slaves that were stolen from their country.

    Course highlights:

The middle passage is where this course starts off and it is a good start. It goes into depth with all of the details sheding light on everything that happened in the early 1800's.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take your time and enjoy the journey through our American history. Its not pretty but it informative. Be prepared to type up papers and provide research in APA format.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I had to take a history requirement and chose this one, not with as much as interest starting as I had ending. The class is great. You learn so much about AA history before 1877 and a lot of it you learned in school, however it goes more in depth. It is an amazing story really, regardless of your race. I enjoyed the class so much I decided to do the second class to fulfill my 2nd history elective. I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed this course.

    Course highlights:

The whole course was a highlight. Some of it broke my heart with all the different parts of history that you didn't learn in elementary school. I must say this opened my eyes to see a new light in slavery, one that I never would have thought of before.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the reading! The reading is a must, and plus it is all interesting material. If there is additional reading, or lectures or videos to watch, do that too. It's all great content, I promise!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it gives you the opportunity to dig unto your history about more than just African Americans. It gives you insight on Activists (White-Americans), What crops made American rich, and also the military.

    Course highlights:

What I learned in this course that interested me most would be African-Americans and the roles they held in the military. It was a eye opener to how much racism many blacks faced even when fighting for their country.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give for this course would to be maintain focus. Actually grow a interest in the subject if not your grades won't hold up. Do actual research to back up your answers on anything that you do.
