    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course was exceptionally challenging for me. It was a great course to learn about how the body works mechanically, like a machine.

    Course highlights:

This was an online class. For me, I would have learned better and retained more information had I taken this course in person in a brick and mortar setting. Unfortunately, because it was such a difficult topic for me, I did not retain much.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

If you have the option to take Biomechanics in person instead of online, then do it. If you have to take it online, then take the discussion threads seriously, do the required reading and research. This is not a class that you can just breeze through if you are not strong in understanding torque, velocity, angles, and mechanics in general.

    | Would recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Informative but challenging. The material and course work is the typical demanding course work of an 8 week session, You have forums, assignments, and quizzes. Each week addressed a concern that was relative to the topic. My only issue was with the quizzes (there were 4). This was the only element of the course I did not like because they quizzes were timed (not proctored) but it was difficult to remember the material week to week.

    Course highlights:

I learned about proper body mechinics that I can actually apply to my current job and position. You have to buy an online software to evaluate movement patterns which was somewhat difficult to learn unless you are software and computer savvy. The course itself was informative, but you will have lesson overload at times.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up to date with the assignments and ask the professor questions when you are unsure on what you are reading. Take time to complete the final paper one evaluating a movement pattern. Work the with software as the week's progress so that you understand how to use it when you have to upload your personal video.
