    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is important for English majors because it helps to outline not only the many different critical theories used to analyze literature, but this course also helps to teach students how to apply these theories.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to apply Queer theory to my favorite young adult novel. This perspective allowed me to see the book in a whole new light. I now enjoy applying theory to literature.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

When considering this course, be sure to keep up with the weekly readings and participate in class discussions. Much of the learned information for the course is verbal and it is really important to be involved with the other students.
