Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course because the professor was highly engaged with her students. She was able to answer all questions and provided a massive amount of resources available to get you onto the correct path for programming.

    Course highlights:

I truly enjoyed making video games out of this course. What I learned was to back up EVERYTHING. As soon as you make a slight change, make sure to save and test it out. It may seem tedious, but it'll help save you a lot more work later down the road when you spaghetti coding interferes with something else.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Take your time with this course. Although it may be extremely interesting and you may want to make stunning projects, the course doesn't always allow the time for this. Complete your projects to the rubric's standard, save it, then try to improve after everything is already completed. This'll allow you to have a completed project ready for submission while also allowing you the possibility of finishing an updated and amazing project later.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Intro to programming like the title states is an introduction to programming. The course uses ALICE (a java IDE) to introduce students to the basic concepts of syntax and program structure with a drag and drop environment.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to develop object oriented programming and how to effectively use loops and arrays. This course also taught me to respect game makers as creating 3d characters that move in a normal fashion is really difficult.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Working through the problems in the textbook made life a lot easier and was a lot of fun. Avoid the digital version of the textbook as it is really hard to see the example code in the pictures. They do not scale well when zooming in.
