    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is so amazing and very interesting! I have learned such interesting things about different kinds of bacteria and viruses.

    Course highlights:

I learned that there are bacterial viruses that only attack bacteria and there are also animal viruses that attack humans and animals. learning about the bacteria viruses, also called bacteriophages, was my favorite. Bacteriophages look like spiders with polygon heads and it is so interesting to learn about how they invade a particular cell and forces its DNA to be incorporated with the new host cell's DNA. Ultimately many more bacteriophages will be created and the cell will burst and die releasing the bacteriophages to repeat the same process over and over again with other host cells!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

If you plan on taking this course make sure to use the white board as your best friend. Drawing out the different pictures and cycles and systems will really help with comprehension and memory. Also, use your book! many students do not use their book as a resource and because professors know this they get questions from inside the book to test on.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

For me personally, I think that Learman knows a lot about the topic but his lecture is very dry and hard to pay attention to.

    Course highlights:

The lab experiments were easy and interesting. You get to work with real bacteria and cells and it helps bring the content to life.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Start studying for the tests days (or even weeks) in advance. There is a lot of content that cannot be learned in one night, trust me
