Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Bio 110 is not a class to slack off in, you need to study hard. The material can be a bit bland if you're not interested in it but it all depends on you. Stay up to date on the material, and ask questions and you'll be fine.

    Course highlights:

If anything this class emphasizes a lot on the cell and the more microscopic levels of biology. This class also was my first time being exposed to a lab, which really helped me gain experience with group work, measuring and collecting data, as creating charts and graphs and how to write research papers through Microsoft word and excel.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to work together in groups. Finding a partner is easily accessible too, since you are assigned a group to work with in the lab for the entire semester. Study for at least 2 to 3 hours a day. The material is heavy so you want to make sure you are looking over one presentation a day.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class especially if you are majoring in biology, chemistry, or biomedical sciences. I would definitely recommend the professor Dr.Scheidi because he explains everything thoroughly and does not leave anyone confused. He is also available very enthusiastic and loves what he does.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course was getting together with other classmates for study sessions and working in the labs. There are so many fun experiments and cool findings such as going on a nature walk to observe the generational growth patterns of wildlife and investigating a man made crime scene to match DNA of the suspects to the DNA of the blood in the crime scene. I learned that taking care of our environment is very important and limiting the amount of water we use is crucial.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To students that are considering this course I would suggest to do all homework and assignments early enough so that if they have any question, they can ask ahead of time. I would also suggest going to the Student Instructor study sessions to review the material and be sure that everything is understood.

This class was tough but the professor was great. The labs were fun mix up from the daily routine.

    Course highlights:

The highlights were definitely the labs. It was fun to be hands on and conducting experiments with my group.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to learn and study the basics and the rest of the class will flow.
