    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a very tough class. We go over the study guide a few days before the exam but unless you start studying maps from the book and notes from in-class lectures the day that they exam review is posted, you will only do decent.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about Latin American culture. We went over a lot of useless material at the beginning about landforms and topography, but by exam 2 we were learning plenty more about the culture and lifestyles of Latin American countries. Brazil's social inequality is the most interesting thing that I studied.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do your study guide before Brea goes over it in class. If you don't, you will not have enough time to study and get an A.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It was an interesting class that translated well online.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed going from the background of the historical issues of the European Conquest of Latin America to the real issues that the region faces heading into the 21st century.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You really need to be motivated to reach out to other students and to follow the study guides he provides. All of the exam questions are from the study guide. Don't ignore it. Also, he gives you the option for a second attempt on most of the exams. Use it if you need it.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

A decent class but very little reason to go to class. everything is in the book and his lectures are hard to understand sometimes.

    Course highlights:

The cultural difference and similarities of Central and southern America. Learned more about the layout of these areas as well

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

read the book he sends the homework assignments to you in an e mail so very little reason to attend class regularly.
