Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class is interesting and you learn so much about Asian media and culture. You talk in depth about Asian countries like China, India, The 5 stans, and japan. There is a large group project halfway through the semester and there are four papers, but you have plenty of time to do quality work. I had to do mine on South Asia, I enjoyed what I learned. This course also fill a UP and is wonderful for any journalism major considering studying abroad in Asia or the middle east.

    Course highlights:

The professor was the best part of this class. Professor Yin has over a decade's experience working at China Daily and years of teaching experience. She is extremely passionate about journalism and it shows in each of her lectures. With her expertise in Asian culture and media, I feel I got the most out of this class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it. It will be one of the best journalism classes you can take at CMU.
