    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is a very good refresher before jumping into 131, or 132. It goes back over all of the material from high school chemistry while expanding on the more important topics that come into play in later classes. This class is incredibly helpful and slow moving, and gives a lot of time to understand subjects. Tests are evenly spread out and there's never any surprises on them.

    Course highlights:

Though I did not learn much new information from previous classes, I did get a very nice refresher for future ones. The best part of this course is getting to work through and understand basic chemistry without the fear of being left behind or not understanding something. Tutors are very easy to find, and much of the classwork is done online.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be on time with homework assignments and online quizzes. They can literally save your grade. I got an A in the class because of the homework, as it saved me when it came to my first exam score. Be ready to apply yourself and work hard, but know that the information taught in the class is not outrageous, and the workload is very light and spread out compared to other courses like this.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

CHM 120 was a very in depth yet challenging class. Previous knowledge on Chemistry will play a factor in how well you do. It helps to take this class very serious, to study hard, all while not stressing yourself out. This professor is an amazing professor so take advantage of her office hours. Form study groups. Dont give up.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was the labs we did, always kept you interested and craving for more. Another highlight was study groups, many students were determined to help one another pass this class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it serious, take advantage of all resources handed out to you. Don't be afraid to ask for help, like I was at times. Pay attention in class, it is never a good idea to give your phone more attention than a class that is needed to pass. Most importantly don't stress or wear yourself out.
