Pretty easy, overall.
I would highly recommend this course because Professor Hawkins truly cares about the material he is covering and the students he is teaching to. He makes the information easy to understand and he makes up examples that put a clear picture into the students' minds. The tests are straight from his notes and he gives bonus point opportunities. Professor Hawkins has been my favorite professor at Auburn and any student would be lucky to take his class.
Our main topics that we discussed in class were Rocks, Minerals, Structural Geology, Faults, Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Weathering, and Groundwater. I learned about how there are many different minerals that make up a rock, how to identify rocks, how sediments are transported, the three types of volcanoes, and much more. I found all of the information very interesting and I loved learning more.

Advice for students:
My advice for students considering this course is to take lab seriously. Many people failed lab, which means that you cannot pass lecture either. Labs are extremely important and should be taken seriously. Study for the lab midterm and final and make sure you do well on them and you will do fine in the class overall.
