    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Dr. Savu was always willing to help, even if you needed extra time outside of the classroom. He held office hours but also allowed plenty time for appointments as well.

    Course highlights:

While taking this course I learned that the last few chapters of calculus 2 were very essential for this course. As calculus 3 is mostly vector calculus, we focused a lot on graphing, integration, and multi variable differentiation. Overall, my favorite chapter was learning about Greens Theorem which allowed integration to become much easier through a set formula.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Incoming students for this course should always go to office hours even if you just have one question. Make sure the professor knows your name and knows you want to succeed in his class. Do all homework assignment and participate during class time. Do not sit in the back of the classroom and don't be afraid to ask questions during class. I would suggest this to be the most essential qualities for succeeding in any course.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course because Cal III is a hard subject, but Bin Yeh is an excellent teacher! He really knows what he's talking about and how to explain it so that you understand. He is always willing to help and wants to be sure you know the material. His tests can be tough, but if you do the homework it is usually pretty similar to homework problems he assigns. Overall great class and great professor!

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was for sure the teacher. I am a math major so I already love the subject and material, but Bin Yeh made it tangible and he was a hilarious professor. After the first exam, however, I realized that I was really going to have to study if I wanted an A. This was my first college math class as a freshman so it was a change, but I quickly learned how to study well and to make sure I understood the material rather than just memorizing it for the tests, and I came out with a 104 (Yeah did I mention he also gave some awesome bonus on tests?).

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to study, try to understand the concepts thoroughly and know why things work the way they do, and don't be too afraid to go to office hours and ask for help!
