Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I struggled heavily in this course all the way up to the first exam. I used to call my mom everyday almost in tears because math was always my favorite subject and I didn't understand. Then I started going to tutoring and asking questions when I needed to. Dr. Savu was one of my favorite teachers. He is funny, VERY helpful and very understanding. I missed a week of class from being sick and had an exam. I didn't know any of the material and was so worried about failing. So I emailed him and told him that I was sick and my concerns. He let me make the exam up and helped me with the ones that I didn't get. I made a 67n on my first exam, but ended up making an A in the class. I would 12/10 recommend him!!

    Course highlights:

l love math, it has always been my favorite subject. The highlight of this course for me was learning new information and new methods that I hadn't been taught before!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and ask questions. Go to his office hours, he is very nice. Take advantage of the free tutoring that they offer in Parker Hall. Do your homework and make sure you do the study guide, even the hard questions because he pulls questions from the study guide for the exam.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher is sometimes hard to understand, but shows serious interest in the success of every student. He is very approachable and accessible whenever a student is a little blurry on what's going on. I really liked the material and added several new tools to my math tool belt. Would highly recommend.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of the course was the material. It is boiler plate calculus but I'm a math centric mind. All of the things I learned just seemed so cool to me and I loved everyday of class. My eyes were really opened and I learned a lot. The teachers ability to make the positive atmosphere that I felt is huge because the students are much more prone to learn.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

First advice is to take the course. Second, study the practice tests a lot. They are extremely helpful and easily the key to doing well.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend this professor for MATH 1610 because he does weekly quizzes that are only on question so you either know it or you don't, especially since the quizzes are the last ten minutes of class on Friday and he starts the class by starting the next section.

    Course highlights:

He does drop your lowest ajor grade, either one of the three exams or the overall quiz grade.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you either get a different professor or pay very close attention to what Kilgore says and does in class.
