    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very passionate, understanding and wants his students to learn. GO TO OFFICE HOURS. He loves getting to know his students and knowing that his students really do want to learn the material. I had a mid-grade and he bumped me up because of all of the effort I put into office hours.

    Course highlights:

If you're a chemistry major or any major that requires further chemistry classes, I recommend this professor because I truly feel he gives great presentations and doesn't let anyone get bored during lectures. He gives extra credit some days, so go to class.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class!!! He gives extra credit and works out problems that can show up on the test. When studying, do the end of the chapter reviews and end of section reviews, he pulls a lot of questions from there.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Extremely thoughtful and likable professor. Tells you what you need to know and not what you don't

    Course highlights:

It took to stay in top of things as I had TR class time, but Gorden used different presentations to appeal to all different learning styles. Used balloons and candy some days and enjoyed videos of things reacting greatly.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of your work. It's not worth a letter grade to not do easy assigned work when you need all your room for tests.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course itself prepares you for Chem 1040 very well, but the teacher for this subject that I had was the worst and basically ruined a lot of students grades by teaching the Chem 1040 material in Chem 1030. Take the course , but find a different teacher

    Course highlights:

I learned material that spanned from periodic trends to how give an in depth explanation of electrons and their configuration!

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study hard Don't miss classes Read The material Do your aleks ahead of time Pay attention to in class conversations Build connections with friends in that class because it will be needed comebtest time!
