    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Morhman is a difficult prof but he really knows what he is talking about and cares about his students. You can learn a lot if you dedicate yourself.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about Bible characters and the beginning of the bible. I also learned that you can't always take the old testament and apply it to our daily lives because it was written for the beginning of civilization.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

WORK HARD! It will be worth the knowledge you gain.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this specific course because of how the subject is taught. Barrett teaches Old Testament Literature through interpretation and how the content of the Bible will affect your current life. The professor uses the actual Bible to dictate how he will teach his lecture for the day, unlike other professors who use the original textbooks for guidance.

    Course highlights:

The best parts from this course was all of the information I learned during the semester. For certain parts of the Old Testament, I only knew the Sunday School version, which left out important details about sin and mistakes made by people just like everyone living today. I learned that humanity is such a fallen species, however, God still uses His immense grace to save us from ourselves, and we do not deserve that kind of love in the slightest.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

I would actually read the assignments given, they may be boring at times, but other parts of the section can be really interesting. Also, the reading is on the quizzes, and it is not easy to guess on if you do not care for reading. Finally, fill out the reading chart as you go, it counts for more of your grade than you think.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was very education. Other professors were much more lenient on homework loads than mine was, but I think I learned more (and more importantly, retained more) than the other classes. Be prepared to do a lot of reading. If you don't already know the books of the Bible fairly well it will be necessary to read the passages assigned. Make sure you have the textbooks because those will help you in the long run.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much and my understanding of the Old Testament is greatly improved. Everyone in the class was really nice, Dr. Nguyen was very friendly and pursed personal relationships with all of her students. She prayed at the beginning of the week and took prayer requests from the class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely read the text book or the Bible passages - sometimes both are not necessary, maybe team up with a friend in class and share the responsibilities of reading and sharing information between the two of you. Do your homework as soon as possible, you don't really want to put it off because the assignments can be difficult.
