    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class based on the professor alone. She has thus hunger to educate students and will bring a fire to learn out of you that you didn't know that you were capable to produce.

    Course highlights:

The entire course was the highlight. We learn everything from W.E.B Dubois to the middle passage.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Always stay on top of your work! Dr.Neff is there to assist you with whatever you desire but if you don't show that you want to help yourself then she won't help you either.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Recommending this course varies a lot, it has its pros and cons . Its good to learn about the past history of our ancestors and the things they used to go through, it just gives you a whole new meaning about the things that they did in order to survive and we can barely take on something that couldn't compare to theirs. The cons were just reading their own written work and not being able to understand what the meaning of a word was, or just reading 5 chapters in 1-2 days seems like a lot because your mind is trying to pick up certain things and remember certain things all at once so your just trying to cram everything in when its time for exams, tests, and quizzes. So it has its up and downs.

    Course highlights:

I learned about the terrible conditions that African Americans had to face on the day to day basis. They weren't pushed to forward their education, they felt that education was a waste of time they only thing they wanted to do was work well that was the vast majority of the African Americans but some wanted another way to "work" they wanted to get their education and become somebody that people could look up to. The course was good it was just a lot of things that had to memorized or read.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The advice I would give If you like learning about the different African American cultures then go for it, If you like a load of work then take the course. It wasn't that hard, I'm not trying to frighten anyone saying that you would fail the class, its just challenging a little I passed the course and so could you. Only thing I would recommend is to not take it your Freshman year of college.
