    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I recommend it because it helps you settle in as a freshman and helps you with writing skill that apply to every class you take. I'm so happy I took this class because it helped me explore aspects of myself that brought me to that class-- even college. I found my creativity and aspiration to zoom in to a clear view of my dream and the steps to reach it.

    Course highlights:

The first assignment we received was to write a narrative to define literacy through our journey of life revolving around it to build up to where we are. This narrative helped me delve deep in myself and once negative aspect of myself that I've learned to love and appreciate. The following units we learn to utilize different types of rhetoric and genre and write about how we applied key elements that were required of us and how it helped us develop our work. I also got to explore a genre I love and got to write an exert of a Thriller which sparked my interest in writing as a past time. Looking back on it I can see how much I've grown. I'm so grateful that experiences in that class have become a part of my foundation.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Come into this class with an opened mind. Everyone is coming in with different experiences involving their literature blueprint which is good. If you're familiar with the topics of rhetoric and writing then reach out to your peers if they're struggling. It also helps to have different people peer review your papers for a variety of feedback and suggestions.
