    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to all business majors. Dr. Mahoney knows so much about managerial accounting and makes sure you understand the topics as well. She goes through several problems step-by-step during her lectures to make sure the concept sticks. I strongly disliked financial accounting but managerial makes a lot more sense especially with this professor.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much throughout the course. I learned a lot of vocabulary that I will use in the business world in the future, I learned how to communicate when I don't understand the difficult concepts, and so much about managerial accounting itself.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Go. to. class. Every single class! Don't skip a day just because you don't feel like waking up or ending your day early. Also do your homework and STUDY. STUDY. STUDY. Go through the problems your professor goes through in class and review homework questions and you will do well in the course. Also, if you don't understand something, just ask. No one will make fun of you. Odds are that someone in the class also has the same questions.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it gives you an introduction into what accounting will be like and some basic concepts to help you later down the road.

    Course highlights:

We had access to the connect site because of our textbook. The study resources contained on this website was very helpful. It created different practice problems as well as example exams.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read through the PowerPoint carefully and really practice the problems. Also do the homework activities without using your notes. This makes sure you are able to do the problems on a test.
