    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely reccomend this class to anyone who is going into a field having to do with science. It is a class that they call 'general', however, it is full of challenges that you are going to have to work hard to overcome.

    Course highlights:

One of the main highlights of this course for me was learning to adjust. It took control of me and I wish I would have stayed more determined.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard, and study a lot. This class is not one that is going to be easy to get an A in. It really tests you, in plenty of different ways.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Chemistry is a general course and will more than likely be required depending on your course of study. Dr. P is the best teacher for this course if you are going into the science field because you will learn the most from her and she really prepares you for chemistry classes to come. If you are not going into a field where science courses are required then general chemistry is pretty difficult so do not give yourself the added stress unless you were a wiz in high school.

    Course highlights:

The best thing about this course was, although very difficult, they gave the students many opportunities to succeed. Plenty of available tutors, SLA classes, and a lot of lectures a week. Because of the professor I had, I learned everything about chemistry from what atoms are made up of to dilution. Dr. P takes general chemistry and breaks it down into as much detail she can and you will learn things other teachers just mention or skip altogether.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study, study, notes, then study some more. My advice for this is that college chemistry is not as simple as high school chemistry so try not to give yourself large class load the semester you have this course. Never be afraid to pay a visit to the tutoring center because they are so helpful and sometimes all you need is someone to speak to you one on one and break down the wall that builds itself up in your mind during the fast pace and confusing lectures. Also, the SLA classes can be so helpful so if you think you are going to have a hard time sign up for the lecture with an SLA class that comes with it.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It will be a challenge, but a good challenge and it will help later on because the material is presented in a way in which you will remember it.

    Course highlights:

I would say the highlight is that it is active learning so you are constantly practicing what your are being taught. Dr. P has a course pack that contains everything you'll need for the course and more, which is very easy to use and makes understanding what needs to be studied and practiced for the test very easy to figure out.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study the course pack. It has all the information. She'll never test you on anything she hasn't went over in class.
