Always Do the Reading
Great Intro to the Subject
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I would recommend this course because the information covered was not only interesting, it also provided the social, scientific, and environmental factors that affect how and why people exhibit certain behaviors.
Some of the highlights of this course were learning about how the brain functions on a biological level, and also how an individual begins the process of learning. It was also interesting to learn about why certain experiences triggered certain behaviors. I learned many things about the brain, not only how the brain sends out signals to provide information to the rest of the body, but also how different chemicals in the brain can have a significant impact on behaviors. I learned about how the brain is conditioned to learn, and different factors that can help or hinder that process. I also learned about how impactful events can have lifelong consequences on how an individual views situations. It was very interesting to relate to my own life and notice patterns about how I think and what has affected that process.

Advice for students:
To succeed in this course, it is very important to make sure that you are taking the time to not only read the material, but also to understand it. It is not enough to memorize different terms about classical conditioning, it is important that you understand the concept behind the vocabulary and how that could be simulated in real life. If you put time and effort into reading and understanding, you will not only do well in this course, but also enjoy it.
