Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course offered a different look at English deeply contrasting to the typical high school curriculum. The material was relatable to students and professor Hayes did a wonderful job of making connections between pop culture films, books and events to English and literature.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed the freedom we were given to write. The prompts were specific enough so it was clear what the assignment was yet vague enough that we were given great creative freedom to discuss a topic or prove a point. I definately grew as a writer. With this freedom I was made to think harder and more in depth about topics to come up with clear and legitimate material to discuss my topic in an essay.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure if you don't understand an assignment ask! Usually professors are more than happy to help you understand more clearly what is being asked of you. Also be sure to read the out of class readings before class it really helps so that you are able to participate in class discussion.
