    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Students need MA 110 to transfer, and I know it's everyones least favorite subject, but if they sign up for Professor Emily Ballards class they will not be disappointed and be motivated to go to class, and get that grade. She has open note quizzes, and the homework isn't graded but the questions on the quiz is from the homework. She is very understandable, and shows that she cares. She makes an effort to come earl to class for you to ask questions.

    Course highlights:

I made the bests friends in this class, and I learned Math in a fun way that didn't confuse me. I was comfortable of asking questions, and I was able to pass the class and transfer.Highlight of it all is that the class is a good environment!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

She gives you the schedule ahead of time of when test and quizzes are. Study in advance! 2 weeks will be enough for advance study. Do not wait till the chapter is done to study for test, study after every section you guys go through. It will make a HUGE difference.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If this student needs to take a MA 110 course, I high recommend Emily Ballard as your professor. She shows that she cares about her students, and willing to stay after or come in early to help you. She also makes you feel welcome, and she is open for questions.

    Course highlights:

The highlight of this course was really learning, my least favorite subject in a different way. Math is not my strongest subject, but working in groups, and interacting with other students in the class made it more enjoyable, and made me want to learn more.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always review your homework and notes 1-2 weeks before a test. Always asks questions and don't be afraid to start a study group. If you like to work alone, don't be afraid to ask the professor to walk through a math problem with you so they can show you step by step who to get to the answer.
