    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course to anyone who is willing to put the work in to learn and succeed in math. It's hard work if you are going to skip class, but if you participate in lectures, take notes, and ask questions, you'll be just fine.

    Course highlights:

I gained so much knowledge from this class. Basically all the basics of Algebra, and a bit extra. If you get a good instructor like Julia Moore, then you'll get all the help and advice you need.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework. Go to office hours. Study the review guides for the test. Ask the questions you don't understand. Most professor's love to help, especially Julia. Show up to ALL the classes. If you miss a lecture, you better hope your tablemate will share their notes. Do that, and you'll be fine!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course was one of the biggest challenges that I faced my first semester of college. I knew, however, that I could beat the challenge. I won the victory and I loved the class. I loved the class because of the professor, the material, and because of the friends that I made. It was the best start one could hope for as they enter college. It combined both school with making friends and having fun.

    Course highlights:

This course was all math. We learned everything that an individual would learn in a high school and so much more. The highlights were that it was a lot of review just a little bit harder. The course was a challenge learning about: graphing, linear and quadratic equations, transformations, and so much more. Put in the effort and it pays off is the biggest highlight of this course!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Try your best. Some nights you may feel like throwing your book in the recycle bin and just giving up. Other days you may come back with an E on a daily quiz. My advice is do not ever give in to failure or it will destroy your dreams of success. Try your best!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This was a little bit of a challenging course for me to take, but I love math and as long as you keep up with the homework and aren't afraid to ask questions in class, you have a great chance of understanding the course.

    Course highlights:

There was a good amount of group work in this class, which helps me a lot. It seemed the units started as recaps of high school math, then went deeper into the basic algebra you previously learned

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't fall behind on the homework. Having a friend in the class helps; get together before class and talk about the homework and the tests to get a better understanding of things. Also, go to the Math Lab. It's purpose is to help students that are struggling in any of their math courses.
