Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would as this class was fairly open, even for someone without much creative writing background. The assignments were never too difficult for even the beginner writers.

    Course highlights:

I learned to be gentle with my criticisms and that I am a more experienced writer than even some older than I. I learned to be more encouraging of others.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take it. If anything, it'll be a fairly easy exam. No studying required. Hopefully, your horizons will be widened and the course will allow you to open to different experiences.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the material is varied and on the surface enough to allow even non-english majors the chance to excel.

    Course highlights:

Throughout the course, I was encouraged and pushed to do better. The professor was helpful and critical. I improved my writing immensely and learned to accept criticism and grow from it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

In considering this course, keep in mind that breezing by is difficult to achieve. Working hard and putting effort in will pay off. Take the criticisms lightly, not personally. When evaluating someone else's work, offense is not usually meant.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

While this class is not part of the Honor's Program, it is a rigorous class meant only for those who are self motivated to pass. Not only is English taught in this class, but also how to think outside the box in terms of Creative Writing. The professor is passionate about Creative Writing, and it is displayed through her teaching. She prompts students to really think about just more than writing, but also the purpose for writing.

    Course highlights:

I always enjoyed hearing what the professor had to say; if anyone is good at asking questions, she is. It was also quite an honor to hear of other students' stories and poem. Doing so gave inspiration for the rest of the class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read through all of the Week by Week schedules handed out, and do the readings she suggests from the textbook; they are pertinent to the conversations themselves.
