Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend AHS 301 for anyone going into a health related field. This involves HIPAA regulations, and vast health research methods and findings.

    Course highlights:

Some of the highlights this course offered was the research methods. When looking for background information upon a topic, our professor demonstrated thorough ways to utilize databases to back up our topic.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I would always suggest to stay on top of assignments and projects. This is not a course where you can easily shrug things off until the last minute.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The best thing about this course was Dr. Vandermolen. She was an amazing professor and truly cared about the success of her students. Even though this course was hybrid, she engaged with us weekly and posted videos to help us learn the material better. This class is a requirement for AHS majors but it also taught me a lot about my future career in my health profession.

    Course highlights:

I had a really great group for our research project, and that made all the difference. We worked really well together and produced a really cool research paper and project at the end of the semester. I learned a lot about a topic, mindfulness, that I probably would have never learned about otherwise.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to attend the live online sessions. You learn a lot of stuff that isn't covered in the weekly notes and it's a great time to ask the professor questions. Also be prepared to devote time to meeting with your group, which is not always easy because this is a hybrid class. You can't blow this course off.
