    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Dr. Hart knows his organic chemistry and is able to teach it effectively to students. He makes himself available to students who need extra help and really goes the extra mile to make sure his students succeed. It is a tough course and he acknowledges that people struggle with certain concepts.

    Course highlights:

I learned that succeeding in a difficult course takes a lot of time and effort. Also that exams are only one test on one day and do not dictate how smart a student is. The professor makes good use of new technology to teach his students

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book. Go to class. Study. You can not succeed in organic chemistry without some hard work and putting the hours in.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this class if it is not required for your degree. This class challenged me, and I struggled through it. The professor was good, but the tutoring system was excellent.

    Course highlights:

I gained a credit towards my degree, a better work ethic, and a new perspective on school. I learned how to identify unknown substances in the lab and how everything was related in a step wise way.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Second semester builds on first semester. You need to have a solid understanding of the first semester material in order to be successful in the second semester.
