Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this class because it truly opens a gateway for you, in not just math, but in other subjects as well. Therefore, I do recommend this class for anyone pursuing a degree in the sciences of engineering.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to derive numbers from equations. I also learned that russian teachers are cool story tellers. But on a serious note, this class laid out the foundation for me to further understand and comprehend numbers in my head.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

If you are a hardworking student, I totally recommend. Most importantly, just listen to what he says, practice the questions he goes over on your own time, and you will do great.

    Course highlights:

Get to learn advanced trigonometry, derivatives, & you get to start on basic integral rules. I wish I knew coming into class I had to ace/know the trigonometry rules by heart. Would've helped me throughout the course.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Listen to what the professor says and practice the questions he puts on the board because they will show up in his test. Build a communication with your fellow classmates.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Great guy, bad teacher. You'll teach yourself most of the class, and get your answers questioned during his office hours. Do his recommended practice problems and you'll be fine. I'd take him if it's the only hard class you have for the semester.

    Course highlights:

Since I spent a lot of time teaching myself everything, the information really stuck with me. I still remember almost everything and occasionally review my very detailed notes if I forget anything.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Do all of his recommended practice problems, and study his quizzes. If you don't understand something, make sure you get it answered during his office hours before it's too late. Peer tutors in the learning lab are also very helpful.
