    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Chemistry is just another one of the arbitrary general elective for most students, but I am completely captivated by this course. After showing Chemistry no attention in high school, I am amazed at how tight this subject gripped my interest! After making such a huge "U-turn" in what subjects interest me, I now believe I have matured into the best type of adult: one who craves knowledge rather than shunning it!

    Course highlights:

There are so many aspects of Chemistry that are hard to wrap your head around. There is a lot of memorization involved. I did, however, find most intriguing the organization of the periodic table. Not only do the numbers reflect the protons, but the placement of each atom is thoroughly thought-out. What is more impressive is the fact that the organization of the periodic table began long before all the current elements were discovered, leaving gaps and blank spots where scientists knew "something" should go. Well all the gaps have been filled!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't question new ideas. If you do not understand something right away, remain confident. Remember: every Chemist, Chemistry graduate, and Chemistry related occupational employee was once a student.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The subject matter can be a bit confusing at times but with a great professor you catch on in no time!

    Course highlights:

Rewriting chemical reactions was always hard for me but the way the professor explained it this time just made something click in my brain. Now I have no trouble at all!

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

The lab teacher allows you to come in half an hour before lab starts to go over any previous labs or homework and also ask him any questions as well as get help from fellow students. Definitely take advantage of this service! It helped me a lot!
