Good introduction course that explains biology on a cellular level.

    Course highlights:

The processes in the human body and how each parts of the cell is incorporated in any given process.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This course is an excellent start to your biology or science career. Knowing the material from this course can make a difference in your other science courses, including chemistry. Dr. Styers taught the material to us with a great understanding. I have learned a lot in this course and because of this course I am now above average on the biology/biochemistry portion of the mcat.

    Course highlights:

I learned mostly everything about cells and why they are so important. I understand and can recite all the parts of the cell theory. I learned about the biological processes of cells and it is a good intro into genetics.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class, it will make for a better understanding of the course. Take time on your lab report. The lab report could make a big difference in your grade.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I thoroughly enjoy learning about Biology at the molecular level. It is satisfying to me because I recognize many medical applications, and it makes more interesting for me to learn and study.

    Course highlights:

I found the detailed descriptions of each step of transcription and translation of DNA synthesis very interesting.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Because my professor expected much detail on the exams and quizzes, you must thoroughly study for this course in order to be able to learn the material well enough to thoroughly answer the questions.
