Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely love this class. After I changed my major, and started taking this class, I knew it was the right thing for me. And Mrs. Purdy is a great instructor. She helps you if you are stuck on a drawing, and she gives you great ideas. She explains the concepts clearly. And she is a fair grader.

    Course highlights:

I learned several things in this class. But I think the most important thing I learned was that sometimes you need to take a step back from your work for a minute. Whether it be literal, taking an actual step back to see your work not up close, to see if anything needs to be changed. Or figuratively taking a step back; if you are stuck, just take a little break and come back to it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You may not understand some of the concepts at first, but you will get the hang of it. You just have to practice, and occacionally take a break. And you definitely have to push yourself a little bit; step out of your comfort zone.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I feel like I learn something during each class. I have looked forward to every assignment and enjoy class time.

    Course highlights:

I learned various aspects of art. I was able to open my mind to new techniques and have defiantly bettered my talents.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

You really need to be open to learning new techniques if you are considering taking this course.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course is really fun, as well as informational. You do NOT have to be good at art to pass! Just make sure you pay attention, and don't be afraid to ask for help. I have a lot of experience with art classes, so it was an easy class, but I still learned from my projects.

    Course highlights:

This course is based on the Elements and Principles of art. There are projects and exercises based on these elements and principles to help you learn how to apply them.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Don't put any projects off until the night before they are due. Don't do this for any class, but art especially.
