Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course for those students who have a desire to pursue a career in the designing part of the world. Rather it be graphic design, architecture, industrial design, game art, interior design, you name it; Basic Design 1 is meant for you! In the aspect of wanting to understand why or how to design and create something of your own it is most important to recognize and acknowledge the language being shown through an art display first and foremost.

    Course highlights:

Throughout my Basic Design course the main objective was to understand how to work within and around the basic shape of a square using the elements of design. Learning how to work in a two-dimensional perspective using different mediums definitely enhanced my artistic abilities as an architecture student.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Future students should learn how to take control of managing their time in completing projects. This can be done by understanding the message they need to portray within their design can come across more easily to the observer if simplified than complex.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It is a fun course that allows you to explore and develop your designs. You get to practice using different mediums such as color pencil, marker, cut paper, and gouche (a type of paint).

    Course highlights:

My favorite project was the typography, I had a lot of fun creating it and I liked my final outcome. I learned in this class that not everything has to look perfect and things can go off the paper.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

As easy as the class may seem you really do have to try your best and not slack off or else it will show through in your designs and you will get a lesser grade on the projects.
