    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course because it gets you thinking about events happening around us.

    Course highlights:

One main highlight would be the book that is required. It contains many chapters from different books and authors. It is all about things happening in our world.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course requires a lot of effort to keep up with everything going on. Look over all information before class and definitely do not procrastinate.

    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

First off, learning to write in ways that will get your point across to most everyone is very important. Especially if you're writing about an event or theory you have an opinion on or facts regarding it. Professor Hudson goes over all the parts of writing and the MLA format required for papers. She is patient and engages the class in discussions. That's very important nowadays because not many people in classes participate. In several of my other classes, if the professor asks a question, the students don't answer at all. Professor Hudson also provides constructive criticism and feedback on assignments.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to cite various sources, such as, parts of a website and one entry in a collection of articles.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You definitely need to stay on top of your work. Do not procrastinate and make sure all, or at least most, of your work is done before you start trying to do extracurricular or non-academic activities.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The class would probably be better if I had a different professor. Mrs. Denton can be really confusing and not clear enough. She also is all over the place and can get frustrated and stressed easily.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot from the "Writer's Reference" book. She would just put the section letter and number (ex-P2) and she would expect you to know it and be able to fix the error.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to the writing resource center for help. since they actually know what they are doing.
