Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this class. I did not learn much from the lectures, but the tests were super easy as long as you studied. The labs were very hands-on and I thoroughly enjoyed them.

    Course highlights:

My absolute favorite part of this course was getting to visit a wildlife refuge. I did not think I would enjoy it, but I loved it, and I would love to go back.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework and you will not fail. Take the pre-tests multiple times and you will pass the class with at least a 90.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

She defiantly knows the subject really well and her teaching skills are incredible.

    Course highlights:

My remember when we went to the genetics facility and toured around their building and their labs and I will defiantly remember that for a really long time.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study often. She has tests that are not the easiest but if you study enough you ill do absolutely fine.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking this course if you are planning on pursuing a Bachelor's degree. I also recommend taking Dr. Collier, because he never fails to make things interesting. He is probably the coolest 73 year old biology instructor you'll ever meet. He also offers plenty of ways to earn points that will add cushion if your test grades aren't exactly what you'd like.

    Course highlights:

It covers a lot of the basics of biology that make a great foundation for any other life science course. I found the cellular structure extremely helpful, as I have taken anatomy and physiology and plan to take microbiology. It's especially useful for any healthcare major, as cellular anatomy is the basis for everything else in any type of anatomy class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take advantage of the online resources available on Blackboard! Dr. Collier makes sure that there are plenty of different videos, diagrams and pictures available for study. He also makes sure that there are several different ways to study an idea, so that if you don't understand something from one perspective, perhaps another perspective can make more sense.
