    | Would highly recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend taking this course if you are planning on pursuing a Bachelor's degree. I also recommend taking Dr. Collier, because he never fails to make things interesting. He is probably the coolest 73 year old biology instructor you'll ever meet. He also offers plenty of ways to earn points that will add cushion if your test grades aren't exactly what you'd like.

    Course highlights:

It covers a lot of the basics of biology that make a great foundation for any other life science course. I found the cellular structure extremely helpful, as I have taken anatomy and physiology and plan to take microbiology. It's especially useful for any healthcare major, as cellular anatomy is the basis for everything else in any type of anatomy class.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Take advantage of the online resources available on Blackboard! Dr. Collier makes sure that there are plenty of different videos, diagrams and pictures available for study. He also makes sure that there are several different ways to study an idea, so that if you don't understand something from one perspective, perhaps another perspective can make more sense.
