Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Ryan Dziedzic was really personable and funny, he approached Biology with so much passion and it definitely showed. If you love Biology, birds and a good laugh this is the class for you.

    Course highlights:

We learned a lot about photosynthesis, meiosis, mitosis, and all the nitty- gritty of Biology. There were lab days and lecture days, the labs were always very interesting and a large portion was over pond water.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take good notes, study, take advantage of tutoring and study groups, always ask questions and listen to everything he says. Sometimes what seems random to you will be on the test, so pay attention and enjoy it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the material is really interesting. However, if you don't learn by just hearing the professor talk, then it can be a very difficult class to take.

    Course highlights:

This course teaches you the basic biology information, the process of photosynthesis, the process of cellular respiration, the meiosis and mitosis cycles, and the theory of evolution. The highlights for me were the weekly labs we did. They are extremely exciting but I felt that I learned a lot more from them than the lectures.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I advise that you rewrite or at least reread your notes after each lecture to really make sense of the material. Do all of your homework (those points you need!), show up to every lecture (there might be a quiz and you can't make those up), turn things in on time (he does not except late work), ask for help, do every extra credit opportunity, and STUDY!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher that teaches this course actually enjoys the topic and provides a course that is interesting. The facts are not just presented to you to shove down your throat; they are taught so that they actually are used and learned. The labs that are done relate to the lectures in class so it really backs up the material. Overall the class is rarely boring, however there is a lot of material covered so if you are not up for a challenge then I would not recommend this class.

    Course highlights:

The genetic section of the class really gave me a better understanding of how everything is made up of. The labs we did were that of dissections, so just being able to get our hands dirty is really beneficial while learning. It gives a tangible aspect to the material.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study. If you do not study for the tests, you will fail. You must keep studying because almost everything compiles on each other. So many pieces of homework is required so the points add up. Do not lose points by not turning in homework. Even if you fail a quiz or test, you can earn it back by the homework for labs and class.
